Cabernet Franc has a unique and recognizable identity, with a versatile soul. Thanks to the late wine harvest, this red wine is almost aromatic.

PRODUCTION AREA

Our vineyards are located at the border between the regions of Veneto and Friuli. This area is characterized by flat land of alluvial origin with stratifications of carbonate. The climate has hot but breezy summers thanks to the proximity to the Adriatic Sea.

HARVEST

The grape harvest takes places between the end of September and the first days of October, when the fruit has reached the full phenolic ripeness. The harvest is strictly done by hand and the best bunches are selected.

GRAPE VARIETIES

Cabernet Franc has a unique and recognizable identity, with a versatile soul. Thanks to the late wine harvest, this red wine is almost aromatic.

The grape maceration is 20 days long and takes places in open semi conical wooden vats. Once fermented, the wine is refined in new French oak barrels for a period for 24 months, after that it is bottled. In these two years the use of sulphites is minimal.

ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES

At the tasting, the bouquet is superb, with balsamic hints of rosemary and of underbrush, blended with scent of spices and officinal herbs.

ENOGASTRONOMICAL MATCHINGS

Its features are enhanced with game, even more if spicy sauces accompany it. It is perfect also with braised meet and pot roast.
