Our vineyards are located at the border between the regions of Veneto and Friuli. This area is characterized by flat land of allu- vial origin with stratifications of carbonate. The climate has hot but breezy summers thanks to the proximity to the Adriatic Sea.

HARVEST

The harvest takes place sequentially, when the different grapes reach the full ripe. In the third decade of September Merlot is harvested, ten days later Cabernet. The harvest is strictly done by hand and the best bunches are selected.

The grape maceration is 20 days long, with daily delestages. After the drawing off, the wine is refined in French oak barrels for a period for 18 months, after that it is bottled. In this period the use of sulphites is minimal.

ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES

Qustò has an intense red colour, which tends to garnet by ageing. With aromas of red berry and balsamic notes, it releases scents of cocoa, liquorice and toasted nuances, given by the wood.
With a good body, its taste is lovingly soft.

ENOGASTRONOMIC MATCHINGS

Balanced and versatile wine. It goes well with different Italian dishes, from pasta with meat sauce to roast meats. It is an ideal companion to thick cuts of meats, from steaks to barbecue.
